On November 10th the Scouts will be at Grace during Sunday worship to pass out the Scouting for Food bags. Bags are to be returned with food donations the following Sunday, November 17th. Donations will be taken to the Ridgewood Food Pantry.
Join us for our UMW meeting Tuesday November 12 at 1:00pm. It is time for the World Thank Offering. A short program of prayer untitled: Two cents and a Prayer. Bring a favorite prayer if you have one. We will be making prayer cards for our Purse Ministry.
Attention Grace Seniors! There will be a gathering on November 14th from 1:00-3:00pm in Grace Place for SENIOR FELLOWSHIP, formerly known as “55 Alive.” There will be a planned game-type activity and light refreshments. The Scouts are also hosting a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser at Appleby's on November 23rd 8-10am. Tickets may be purchased in advance and are also available at the door. $8 all you can eat pancakes.
Thank you to everyone who purchased from the wreath fundraiser supporting the ASP Youth mission trip. Wreaths will be delivered to the church sometime during the week of November 18th. They will be ready for pick up Sunday, November 24th between 8:45-11:45am.
Rev. Jeffry Bross, superintendent of the Aurora District, has set our Church Conference date for Wednesday, November 27 at 7pm. Staff Parish meets at 6:30pm. All are invited to attend.
Candy Drive Donations Needed—During the coming weeks our Confirmation class will be collecting candy donations to make holiday gifts for senior citizens and shut-ins being served by the Meals on Wheels program. Hundreds of people each year receive these gifts from us with their meals-it is a real treat for them and a simple way for us to show them that Grace cares.
Mission of the Month—The Will-Grundy Medical Clinic
Located at 213 East Cass St., Joliet, Illinois, the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides free medical and dental care to adults who have no health insurance or medical care entitlements and meet prescribed income guidelines. Care is provided by physicians, dentists and other professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to the Clinic.
